AW'14 CAMPAIGN SHOT BY BEC PARSONS
If today’s mainstream is squeaky clean bubblegum pop and an army of selfie taking "slashies" then Wrangler AW14 is the no fuss, #nofilter opposite.
Think Grunge and the isolated, idealistic wilderness it was born from. A generation of free spirited, fed up, and fired up iconoclasts who channeled a counter culture of creativity. If not the Cobains, then Empire Records’ band of misfits—whoever the firebrand, always the devil-may-care attitude and a hammering away of the veneer of “fitting in."
This season, Wrangler jumps on the open road to wherever the mainstream isn’t, to nature. Letting photographer Bec Parsons and her talent of Lara Mullen & Keno Weidner loose we might be capturing on celluloid the raw, stripped-back range of tops, tees and denim—sure. But in the same breath we’re celebrating freedom and beating our own path.
One and all we remain the Wanderer, the Outlier —and proud of it.
Continuing on from Summer 14 we dive deeper into the epic Australian summer, this time taking it to the river to strip down and cool off.
Join us on the banks of the Yarra as we embrace modern bohemia & the life of the wanderer. Photographer Jennifer Stenglein captures youth’s finest hour; bare foot & care free, living in the present moment.
Denim this season is about heavy bleached indigos, inspired by crystal clear waters with highlights of washed and worn charcoal.
